There's one more day to try to "Read Our Minds" to win tickets to the Gordon Lightfoot Concert next Friday! PLUS we will announce the Grand Prize Winner of the Meet and Greet with Max and Ruby Monday!!
Today we celebrated “Counter Stool Memorial Day” – a day to see if you can remember the last diner or lunch counter where you spin round and roun on a stool at the counter. Both Danny and I could only come up with memories at Kresges in Downtown Port Arthur. We would go for lunch with our parents and enjoy a spin at the counter!
This generated a lot of calls about restaurants that do have the counter stools.....and thanks to the people that called in to tell us about them!

LAUGH OF THE DAY!!!
Does this remind anyone of a certain workplace? Yours perhaps? It is funny...
For thirty years, Johnson had arrived at work at 9A.M. on the dot. He had never missed a day and was never late.
Consequently, when on one particular day 9 A.M. passed without Johnson’s arrival, it caused a sensation.
All work ceased, and the boss himself, looking at his watch and muttering, came out into the corridor.
Finally, precisely at ten, Johnson showed up, clothes dusty and torn, his face scratched and bruised, his glasses bent.
He limped painfully to the time clock, punched in, and said, aware that all eyes were upon him, “I tripped and rolled down two flights of stairs in the subway. Nearly killed myself.”
And the boss said, “And to roll down two flights of stairs took you a whole hour?
WATER COOLER CONVERSATIONS.....
Bionic eyes are currently being developed. Just last year…6 blind patients had their sight partially restored by artificial eyes surgically implanted onto their retinas.
Did you know…that the House of Commons costs about $27,000 an hour to operate? So…we’re saving about $200,000 a day by having them on Easter Break.
According to wealth counselors…30% of lottery winners find themselves in serious financial trouble or go bankrupt within 5 years of their big win.
How about this one? 30% of adults admit they’d act immorally – and that includes lying / backstabbing…in order to keep their jobs!!!
And this story this morning….wow!!! For the first time in 31 years….a 55 year old man in China…can sit comfortably after doctors removed a broken syringe needle which had been lodged in his butt!!! For 31 years!!!!
…he claims the needle was left in his rear end…by a quote, ‘amateur-ish doctor’ back in 1978. After years of suffering sharp pains in his butt – doctors finally agreed to try to find the broken needle. It took 3 hours to remove it…………and now……….he’s all better!!!!
