So, I guess there is such a thing as karma...yesterday I was being sassy in my blog about leaving work for my hubby Joe to do...boy did I pay when I got home! Not by Joe, he was gone fishing.

I stopped in at the house while I was running errands yesterday and was heading into the living room...I stepped over the gate that stops the dogs from roaming the house...but it wasn't secured properly and it fell over...and so did I. My foot that had been raised over the gate slammed into the hardwood. Sigh. Besides the bruising, no damage.

A few minutes later, one of the dogs was tangled on the deck so I went out, barefoot to take care of him. When I got back to the door to go in, I stepped on the metal threshold...yes, it was sunny yesterday, which means the metal was hot. Burned the other foot.

And later at baseball, what are the odds of a ball, after a wild throw ends up flying under the fence and hitting me...in the foot. We hadn't even been on the field yet. Fortunately that one didn't even hurt.

So...it doesn't end there...I was trying to make a call on my new phone...when I ended up hitting "yes" to making an "emergency" call! I didn't even know my phone could just dial it for me...I am still getting used to it...so...I stood staring at my phone in disbelief as it read "calling 911"...to which I responded by screaming "NOOOOOOOO"!!!!!!...repeatedly hitting the button that would end the call. My teammates found this quite hilarious. I did not receive a call back from the police...so my guess is I disconnected before it actually rang through...all they would have heard was me screaming at the phone....

It's a grey day but it's okay for me, because I love days like this. I get so much done inside on rainy days, as long as I haven't settled on the couch with some popcorn and a movie. That's even better. Sunshine can't be the only thing that makes us happy.
